Jennifer Heystek

Jennifer is a mother of two, midwife, lactation consultant, and genealogist in the San Francisco Bay Area. She first learned about homeschooling from families who gave birth at home and was completely sold on homeschooling after attending her first HSC conference! Her daughters were homeschooled for many years until a divorce in 2021 forced them into public school. She continues to unschool as much as possible, with a particular interest in teaching Indigenous history, culture, and resilience. She is also passionate about genealogy, researching family history, and connecting families to their ancestral roots. Jennifer runs a small craft business with her daughters in hopes that they may never know financial dependence.
